WHPA at EB150

This week at the WHO Executive Board, WHPA submitted 3 joint statements:

• requesting carefully consideration of the way that Non State Actors (NSAs) are involved in WHO governing bodies and meetings (agenda item 21.2);
• supporting the NCD implementation roadmap which aligns tools to PHC and UHC frameworks to shift health systems from models suited for acute illness to integrated primary care systems, supported by national guidelines, providing access to NCD diagnostics and essential medicines, as well as investment in the health workforce (agenda item 7).
• supporting the call for the crucial and urgent increased investment in health systems, not only for a global health emergency workforce able to respond rapidly to any acute event, but it must be applied to the health workforce as a whole (agenda item 15.1).
