8 November 2022—The 5 members of the WHPA have today signed an historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Health Organization (WHO). The agreement provides a framework for future collaboration between the partners, recognizing the need for multi-stakeholder partnerships to support the health workforce and address today’s public health issues.

The World Health Professions Alliance delivered the following interventions at the 74th WHA which took place this week in Geneva.
WHPA presented two interventions at WHO's 146th Executive Board, raising concerns about the proposed changes on how non-state actors are involved in WHO events and reminding member states of the importance of a strong health workforce in achieving universal health coverage.
