4 May 2026—Adopted on 3 May 2016, United Nations Security Council Resolution 2286 strongly condemns acts of violence against medical personnel and facilities in conflicts and requires member states to hold perpetrators to account. Today, 10 years on, this Resolution is more relevant than ever, as healthcare continues to be attacked with impunity. WHPA calls on all involved to act now to protect healthcare personnel, patients, and facilities in conflict zones.
